Many travellers carry their luggage in a backpack, although an overnight bag with a shoulder strap would suffice if you travel lightly. All bags should have carry straps so they can be transported across uneven surfaces. You must bring your own daypack to carry water, sunblock, light personal items and camera for the walk.
Our packing list should be used as a guide only. It is not intended to be a complete packing list. Any other items that you wish to pack are at your own discretion; however, you should attempt to limit the weight of your luggage to under 10kg/22lb. Some items on this list may not be necessary for this particular trip. What you bring will vary according to what you intend to do before and after the walk, the countries you’re visiting and when you’re travelling. We recommend you check the details of your trip when deciding what to pack.
Please carefully consider the weather and time of year that you plan to travel.
